North Carolina: James Llewellyn Moore and Sallie (Brown) Moore of Pitt County, NC

 

James Lewellyn Moore, son of Enoch Moore and Elizabeth Eleanor Albritton, his wife, married Sarah Penelope Brown Short on November 26, 1871 in Pitt Co., NC. Sarah Penelope was the daughter of Benjamin Brown and wife, Winnifred Rountree, of Pitt Co. Sarah was the widow of Richard Short who died in 1868, two years after their marriage. One daughter, Sallie Richard Short, was born to this union. Three children were born to James and Sarah Penelope Moore: Mattie Brown Moore born July 17, 1873; Lillie Olivia Moore born October 20, 1875; and James Henry Benjamin Moore born March 30, 1878.
